Grants and Contracts Specialist College of Nursing Washington State University Health Sciences - Spokane
This position serves as the Grants and Contracts Specialist for the submission of all sponsored project proposals and human subjects protocol applications for the College of Nursing (CON). Continually update the CON grant database for the tracking of proposals and awards and compiles grant reports for the CON. Is responsible for other technical and clerical support needed by the Research Office and serves as CON brand administrator and support for Qualtrics Survey Software.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, which must include 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting and one year of relevant professional experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
Additional Requirements: Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Demonstrated knowledge and experience using fiscal and budget principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated customer service experience working with a diverse clientele. Demonstrated experience with interpretation, application, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field. Knowledge of WSU grants and contracts policies, procedures, and forms. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
