Patient Care: Perform substance use disorder assessments, tailor a patient-centered treatment plan, guide other healthcare providers to prescribe medication for addiction treatment, document patient care in a clear and appropriately focused manner utilizing EPIC EMR, and assess, manage and coordinate care with ambulatory clinics and community SUD treatment providers
Education: Participate in Addiction Medicine teaching opportunities to nursing students, PA students, medical students, residents, fellows and community providers
Performance/Systems Improvement: Participate in addiction medicine continuous quality improvement efforts, collaborate with Addiction Medicine leadership working across local, regional and state efforts to improve SUD care for our community
This position may also include working as a provider on a new part of the addiction medicine care continuum at OHSU, called the Harm Reduction and Bridge to Care (HRBR) clinic. HRBR is a low-barrier outpatient addictions clinic specializing in providing medication to treat addiction. Patients will be accepted from OHSU ambulatory clinics, subspecialty clinics, discharges from the OHSU addiction consult service, and patients admitted to the OHSU ER unit.
