The AANA is recruiting for a gifted Chief Learning Officer. To be successful in this role, you must be chameleon-like with the ability to lead AANA’s learning platform and staff into the future of education learning methods. Focus on providing State of the Art Education for Members and Staff by:
Delivering dynamic, engaging and desirable content
Optimizing AANA Meetings to meet the learner’s unique needs
Identifying thought leaders
Understanding how members and staff learn
Diversifying, including, and building equity
Create innovative learning platforms to increase member and staff engagement
Create consistent learning experiences irrespective of channel or mode of training delivery
Ability to align learning platforms and initiatives with business strategy
Develop measurable learning solutions
Work with the Chief Marketing Officer to create consistent, responsive, convenient learning experiences
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads strategic planning, vision, and goals for Learning Programs
Develops and successfully implements innovative programs
Collaborates with Chief Marketing Officer to create strategy related to grants, foundations, sponsorships, etc. to ensure adequate funding for Education programs
Maintains oversight of AANA’s educational curriculum
Collaborates with HR on staff educational experiences
Collaborates with external partners to ensure that AANA’s educational offerings are developed and launched successfully, with a goal of best-in-class education and leadership offerings
Proactively identifies changes in the learning and professional development environments to evaluate and adjust plans and processes accordingly
Creates win-win educational partnerships with related organizations
Participates in CE Committee meetings and calls; and communicates and collaborates with CRNA certification body for members
Participates in Staff Committee meetings and calls to provide education experiences for staff
Supports and guides the Education, Simulation, Continuing Education and Professional Development committees in executing charges assigned by the Board of Directors.
Directly supervises and develops staff, including feedback, goal-setting and performance management.
Oversees the areas of Professional Development, Continuing Education and Education
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Minimum of 5 years of experience (10 years preferred) years’ experience in an adult education or association setting with management experience to include curriculum development and instructional design, working with content experts and external vendors, concept/program development and market research.
Experience with aligning corporate sponsorship needs through educational grants is highly desired
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time and ensure deadlines are met.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment as well as with individuals from a geographically dispersed membership.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to initiate and develop productive working partnerships with key stakeholders organization-wide.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Experience working with learning management systems and online course development software preferred.
Knowledge of topics within the medical/healthcare/pharma/biotech industry is a plus.
Experience with AMS, event registration software programs, and website content management, systems is a plus.
Graduate degree required, Doctorate preferred
CRNA certification preferred

Intermediate experience with MS Office
Demonstrated project management skills
Ability to work well and communicate with staff at all levels of the association
