Job Summary: Oversee the programmatic and clinical operations management of Dermatologic Surgery. Oversee the clinical activities of the Mohs Histotechnologists.
Leads staff members and actively participates in overall management of the area, development of clinical practice, and provision of patient care with accountabilities for implementation and outcomes for personnel, quality, compliance, finance, throughput, and scheduling.
Ensures the unit's optimal performance by engaging in effective problem solving for staff, patients and families and to develop/lead the assigned staff.
Provides feedback and coaching to staff members, recognizing them for their contributions while fostering a high performance culture.
Under the guidance and direction of the Administrative Director, develops, implements and evaluates systems that promote cost effective quality patient care.
Responsible for the program planning and business development for the Dermatology Surgery. Develops and implements policies and procedures relative to the operation of the practice ensuring that work practices support goals and standards of practice, productivity and access. Evaluates operations to ensure proper workflow and compliment of staff to perform vascular studies and procedures.
Has the authority to direct and support employees daily work activities. Has the direct responsibility to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews. Direct Reports: 4-6 Indirect Reports: 1-5
Assists in planning, monitoring and/or managing budget in functional area of department.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
License Registered Nurse required., and Certificate 1 Basic Life Support required.
3-5 years related work experience required in preferably in Dermatology Surgery and 0-1 years supervisory/management experience required
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
