Responsibilities: Under minimal supervision provides and manages professional forensic nursing care to patients in accordance with the Michigan Nurse Practice Act, professional nursing standards, and established hospital and nursing policies and procedures. Exercises professional judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Works closely with and may direct other professional, ancillary, and/or volunteer personnel providing total nursing care. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Successful completion of SANE Nurse Examiners Program within one year. One year of acute care nursing experience. Experience in emergency/trauma and/or women's health and/or management experience preferred.
